MEET dr. Selina Fuentes Gutierrez
Dr. Selina Fuentes Gutierrez was raised in Laredo, Texas, and has lived in San Antonio since 2014. She gained early acceptance into the UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry and graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2018. She then completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at UT Health San Antonio.
In 2022, Dr. Gutierrez was proud to become the new owner of Inwood Family Dental, a local dental practice that has served the community for 28 years. She was determined to establish a practice known for exceptional customer service, honest care, and excellent dental treatment. She provides treatments ranging from Botox therapy for TMJ, dental implant surgeries, IV sedation, and Invisalign, among other treatments.
Most recently, Dr. Gutierrez earned her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, a distinction that only 6% of dentists in the U.S. & Canada have. She has also been nominated for the prestigious Texas Academy of General Dentistry’s New Dentist of the Year Award! She is one of 11 dentists to be selected for this award in the State of Texas. In 2023, she was also named the Academy of General Dentistry’s “10 Dentists to Watch.” She earned these recognitions based on her commitment to continuing education, community service, and clinical excellence. In the local community, she is a sitting Board of Director for the San Antonio District Dental Society and has served as the President of the Greater San Antonio Hispanic Dental Association.
In her free time, Dr. Gutierrez enjoys spending time with her husband and their daughter. They enjoy traveling, nature walks, spending time with family, and participating in their church.
meet dr. lauren maelyn elliott
Dr. Lauren Maelyn Elliott was born and raised in Sugar Land, Texas. She completed her undergraduate education at Texas Tech University in 2018. She then moved to San Antonio where she studied and earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center in 2023. She continued her training at UT Health San Antonio by completing a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry in 2024. She is trained in comprehensive restoration of natural teeth, implant surgery, oral and IV moderate sedation, root canal treatments, and complex dental surgeries. She is a current member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association and the San Antonio District Dental Society.
In her free time, Dr. Elliott enjoys spending time with her fiance, Trent, and their three dogs. They enjoy hiking, traveling, horseback riding, and spending time with family. She and her family have grown to love the hill country community, and her goal is to provide excellent care to its residents for many years to come.
