Feel Calm and Comfortable Every Step of the Way

Dental anxiety is more common than you think—and we’re here to help you feel completely at ease. With gentle sedation options, you can relax during your treatment and leave feeling confident about your care.

Sedation Options Available:

  • Nitrous Oxide ("laughing gas")

  • Oral Sedation (prescription medication)

  • Intravenous (IV) Sedation

Perfect For:
Patients with dental anxiety, sensitive gag reflexes, long treatment plans, or undergoing dental surgery or extensive treatment.

Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous Oxide sedation, also known as “laughing gas,” is commonly used to make treatment more comfortable.  This sedation is inhaled through a mask that allows you to breathe in the medication and induces a state of relaxation.  A local anesthetic will be administered in conjunction with nitrous oxide to eliminate pain. Nitrous oxide can be used for any procedure including dental cleanings, fillings, and surgery. You do not need an escort and can drive home safely afterward.

oral sedation

An oral sedative pill will be provided to you before and during the appt to help calm you. This will make you feel sleepy and relaxed, but you will still be able to communicate and remember the procedure. Oral sedatives do not provide pain relief, so an injection of local anesthetic will also be administered. You will need an escort and you cannot drive to or from the appt. This can be used for any procedure from dental cleanings to oral surgery.

Intravenous (IV) Sedation

IV Sedation is our highest level of sedation. It allows patients to be asleep and in an extreme state of relaxation. Most patients do not remember the procedure. IV sedation does not provide pain relief, so a local anesthetic will also be administered. IV sedation can be used for various procedures such as wisdom teeth removal, implants, or multiple restorations.
